WEST GARAGE MODELS: TUTORIAL MOINHO / WINDMILL TUTORIAL

Escolhida a base, com o moinho já pintado, uma base para árvores da WGM e árvores da Companhia das Miniaturas.

A Base has been picked, the Windmill is already painted, a base for trees from WGM and Trees from Companhia das Miniaturas.

Depois começa a modelação de terreno com Das Pronto.

Terrain modelling is done using Das Pronto modelling clay.

Continuamos agora com os sets de terrenos, para este diorama vamos utilizar o Set 1 Europa e o Set 2 Afrika.

We continue with the terrain starter sets, for this dio we will use the Set 1 Europe and the Set 2 Afrika.

Misturamos o pigmento do set 1 com cola branca, adicionamos também um pouco de pigmento Terra vermelha Pig- 9. Aqui utilizamos uma mistura muito diluida.

We mix the Pigment from set 1 with PVA glue, we added also a little of Red Earth Pig-9. The mixture we used here is very diluted.

O facto de a mistura estar tão diluida vai ajudar a fixar melhor o pigmento do set 2, o ocre misturado com a areia do deserto F-010 e algumas pedras, que espalhamos na mistura.

Because the mixture is more diluted, this helps to settle the pigment better from set 2, ochre mixed with desert sand f-010 and some stones, that we scattered on top of the mixture.

Passamos do caminho para a area envolvente. Aqui utilizamos a mesma pasta, mas um pouco mais espessa.

We go from the track to the surrounding area. Here we use the same mixture, but thicker.

Antes de secar podemos começar a colocar flocagem. Para isso vai ser utilizada a flocagem que vem no set de folhas e terrenos.

Before it dries we start adding ground cover. For that, we will use the ground cover that comes in the set of leaves and terrain.

É importante não deixarmos secar o Das Pronto pois, depois de pormos a flocagem é a vez de colocarmos a relva. É colocada em tufos e espetada directamente no Das pronto de modo a ficar na vertical.

It is very important that you don't let the Das Pronto dry before this step, after scattering the ground cover it is time to do the grass. This is done by sticking the grass in the Das pronto so it can be vertical.

O mesmo processo é aplicado na outra parte do diorama.

The same process is done on the other part of the diorama.

Varios materiais foram usados, desde as varias flocagens, relvas e pedras para dar diversidade.

Different materials were used, from ground covers, grass and stones, to give some diversity.

Depois de pintada a base do poço, começa-se a trabalhar o resto dos detalhes.

After the base of the well is painted, we start working on the rest of the details.

Volta-se a fazer uma mistura de cola branca, pigmento, pedra e alguma relva.

We make another mixture of PVA Glue, pigment, stones and some ground cover.

Essa mistura vai ser aplicada em areas onde aind queremos colocar mais flocagem o relva.

That mixture will be applied to areas which require more ground cover or grass.

Quando estivermos a colocar a flocagem e a relva o melhor é utilizarmos uma caixa, onde pomos o modelo. Assim podemos aplicar o que quisermos, não sujamos a mesa de trabalho e no fim ainda aproveitamos os restos que não ficam colados.

When we are working with the ground cover or grass, it is best to have the model in a box. We can thus apply what we want and won't make a mess on the working table and ultimately, we can re-use all the materials which were not glued.
